Obituary of Marlene V Sparkman

Marlene Sparkman of Ocala, Florida passed away September 19, 2022. She was born November 2, 1938, to George and Angelina Krause in Chicago, IL.

She is a graduate of Evers High School. Marlene married Ralph Sparkman March 10, 1970, in Waukegan, IL. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church in Beach Park, IL. She retired from the Gurnee Walmart men’s department. She previously lived in Chicago and Zion, IL but for the past 21 years lived in Ocala, Florida.

Marlene is survived by her children, Robert (Mary Wolcott) Jones, Kimberly (Joseph) Drobena and Kelly (Scott) Bawelkiewicz; grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Janine Drobena, Samantha Urban, Taylor Urban, Haley Urban, Brooke Drobena, Jeremy Bawelkiewicz, Joshua Bawelkiewicz, Jordan Bawelkiewicz and Tracy Danielson; 4 great grandchildren and siblings, Barbara (Anthony) Broz, George (Wanda) Krause and Greg (Nancy) Krause.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sparkman; daughter, Karen Barnes; granddaughter, Charlotte Jones and parents, George and Angelina Krause.

Visitation will take on Tuesday September 27, 2022, at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service will take place Wednesday September 28. 2022 at 11:00 AM at Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
