Obituary of Trudy L. Evans

Trudy L. Evans passed away on August 30, 2022 at Vista East hospital. She was born on May 23, 1951 the second of two children.

She lived in Zion all her life, and graduated from Zion Benton High School in June of 1969. After graduation, Trudy started working at Victory Memorial Hospital/Vista East, and after 45 years of dedication to her job, she finally retired. She had many hobbies; she enjoyed playing the organ, and piano, especially at Christmas time. She loved animals, they had a couple dogs, a rabbit, and her favorite was Squeaky her duck. Trudy met her husband, Dennis T. Evans from a friend at work, dated and on November 27, 1971 they were married. This November they would have been married 51 years. Trudy had 2 sons, Troy D. Evans, and Kevin Brent Evans. Trudy and her mom Ruth Wagner loved to travel to Vegas, for the bright lights and to gamble some. They also would travel back to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to see her aunts & uncles, and cousins.

Trudy is preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents, and her son Kevin Brent Evans.

She is survived by husband Dennis T. Evans; son, Troy D. Evans, and her brother, Harry (Karen) Wagner, her aunt and uncle, and cousins from Philadelphia.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m.  followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Condon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL. Interment follows at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, in Zion.
