I have many happy memories of your Mom; she was always thinking of others. When you played games with her, you knew you were in a competition, one she was always up for. I always enjoyed talking with her; she was thoughtful, smart and insightful. We will miss her. -- Helen & Don Banta

Aunt Dorothy was the most kind and loving person. I spent so much time at her house growing up as a young child. I spent many nights at her house. The Yellow cab company, all of us dispatching at one time or another., cab rides to the Dunes theater. She was a gentle person who always made everyone feel special and loved. I love you Aunt Dorothy. Until we meet again. Yvonne Snider

Aunt Dorothy was kind hearted and loving. Growing up I spent many hours at her house, aka the Zion Yellow Cab office, with my cousins since we lived so close. She worked hard as a single mom running a business. I have many fond memories of her and the time spent there. Her children were also very loving and took such great care of her in her later years. She’s in heaven now reunited with so many that have gone before her. RIP Aunt Dorothy! Until we meet again

If my parents were alive they would be sending deepest condolences to the family of Dorothy. Cal and Doris Sawyer were God Parents to Don. I have some memories of visiting the Yellow Cab office on Galilee across from the functioning railroad, and riding in the Yellow Cabs as we were a one car family. May Dorothy rest in peace.
