Over 50 years ago during our Zion Benton High School days, Brian was a strong and talented multi-sport athlete. When he played on the defensive line, I can personally attest that he possessed the skill set and powerful quickness to flip an unsuspecting ball carrier upside down. Despite a strenuous practice or challenging game, he always remained calm and composed; with a cheerful upbeat attitude.
Brian will always be remembered by his classmates, teammates, and friends.
Sincere condolences to the family,
Andrew Bachler ZBTHS 1969

My condolences go out to Brian’s family, friends and former co-workers. I worked with Brian for many years in the Waukegan power plant Engineering Department. He was always willing to help anyone on the job and was very knowledgeable.
I know he shared his passion for the game of golf with Skip and I hope he had the opportunity to share it with his grandkids as well. We spent many hours together playing golf after work and even won a few trophies. His golf skills grew into club making and working part-time in retirement at his golf course. (Free golf!) I hope he is hitting them straight on that fairway in the sky.

Joann, don't know if you'd remember me, but, I remember Brian from being on the wrestling team in high school. He was a couple years ahead of me. He was one of the good guys. He used to laugh at all of the rest of us who would have to come in on Friday mornings early for the weigh in for that weekends matches, and he never had to because he was the heavy weight and there were no classifications on that. He would say, I get to sleep in. Great guy & wrestler. My sincere sympathies & condolences on your loss. I'll keep you & your family in our prayers. God's peace to you all.
Sincerely,
Jim Sinkus

To Joann, Kari, Skip and family,
We share your pain and sorrow. Time may dull the pain and the sorrow may ease, but the lifetime of memories will stay sharp. We'll miss his friendship and sense of humor. The quiet dignity and bravery he fought his illness with was true to his character. He will forever be missed.
The Beach family.
