Rebecca Lynn Moore

 

Rebecca “Becca” Moore, 41, of Scottsdale, Arizona, formerly of Beach Park, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on August 19, 2022. Becca was born May 16, 1981 in Waukegan, Illinois to Eddie and Dianne Moore, the second of two daughters along with her sister, Nikki. 

 

Becca loved to perform, whether it was playing the piano, figure skating, out on the softball diamond, or putting on a show with her cousins. And man, could she sing! Becca lit up every room that she walked into, and made friends everywhere she went.

 

After graduating from Zion-Benton Township High School in 1999, Becca studied at the College of Lake County and graduated from Glendale Community College and Pivot Point Academy. While Becca was an amazing hair stylist and loved interacting with her clients, she later found her passion as an early childhood educator working with the littlest of children. Becca absolutely loved her “babies” at work and gushed about them constantly. 

 

Becca’s happiest moments were with her children, Lucy and Max. Becca loved being their mom more than anything. She loved to take Lucy and Max to the park, the pool, and on any adventure that would put a smile on their faces. The love between them was immense, and is eternal. 

 

Becca was an absolute ray of sunshine in the lives of so many, and words can’t describe the hole that her sudden absence leaves in the hearts of those who love her. Becca will always be remembered as a beautiful, fun, kind, witty, and vibrant person who touched many lives. 

 

Becca is survived by her children, Lucy and Max; parents, Eddie and Dianne; sister, Nikki (Jim) McAskin; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and her love, John Siwik. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Charlotte Johnson; paternal grandfather, Paul (Alverda) Moore; and paternal grandmother, Allene (Parks) Thoreson.
