Obituary of Robert Phillips
Robert “Bob” Phillips, 64, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away on July 9, 2022 at his home. He was born on March 1, 1958 in Highland Park Hospital the son of Raymond and Lorraine (Uedelhofen) Phillips.
After many years of waiting, on October 19, 2019, Bob married the love of his life, Michelle Battisfore at The Tropics in Winthrop Harbor, IL.
Bob was an avid Chicago sports fan, loved drag racing and a Nascar fan! He enjoyed barbecuing and having gatherings in his driveway with family and friends. His favorite summer pass time was sitting on his deck with a cold Budweiser in hand while listening to a Cubs game on the radio. He loved his children and totally adored his grandbabies.
He worked for 47 years at Cardinal Health. He retired in August of 2021, which gave him the opportunity to watch his sports 12 hours a day or mow his lawn as often as he wanted as he was obsessed about a perfect lawn.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Michelle; children, Brandon Phillips, Dillon Diaguila, Brad (Mary) Battisfore, Chad (Katy) Battisfore; grandchildren, Joey, Maylene, Ava, Colton, and Kane; brother, John Phillips; best friends, Billy Collins, and Jim MacLagan; nephew, Sam; niece Zoey, and many more.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A Celebration of life will take place at the VFW in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois at 2 pm on Friday, July 15, 2022.
