Obituary of Todd Alan Mintern

Todd Mintern, 60, of Zion, Illinois passed away on June 29, 2022 at Vista Medical Center after a courageous battle with end stage renal disease. 

Todd was the previous owner of M&M Concrete and worked most of his life in the concrete business and was very skilled in his field. He was also a very skilled fisherman and could filet a fish faster than anyone. He loved his grandchildren and spending time on Lake Michigan fishing and making memories.  Most of these started when he was very young when he was first mate with Captain Ernie (his grandfather). He loved camping and doing odd jobs and had a very kind soul - always willing to help a family member, friend or neighbor.  

Todd is survived by his sons, Alan (Tiffany) Mintern, and Stephen Mintern; mother, Shirley Mintern; grandchildren, Morgan, Zander and Alana; sisters Wendy Jo Grom and Wanda Rottmann; and sister-in-law, Sally Mintern.  He is also survived by the mother of his children Cathy Mintern as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Todd was preceded in death by his father, Michael E. Mintern; brother, Michael S. Mintern; brother-in-law, Andrew Grom; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.  

Services for Todd will be private for the family.  In his memory please enjoy every day and make as many memories as possible.
