Obituary of Betty M Gross

Betty peacefully entered the arms of her lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 21^st, 2022 at her home in Waterford, WI. Formerly of Beach Park, IL. She was born in Hurley, Wisconsin November 20, 1927.

Betty married Eugene Gross October 17, 1953 in Hurley, WI. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility in Beach Park, IL and St. Thomas Aquinas in Waterford, WI. She was employed by the Zion-Benton Township High School. Betty is remembered for her love of slot machines, scratch off tickets, Chicago sports teams, and hosting numerous family celebrations.  She would often say, ‘Got that job done’ and got the job done she did.  Her sweet and feisty smile will live with us forever.

Betty is survived by her children, Darlene Holland (Rick), Steve Gross (Jean), Eugene Gross (Cheryl); grandchildren, Michelle, Stacy, Stephanie, Brandon, Blake, Miles, Dani, Destiny, Sarah, Alix, Eugene and many step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren; siblingsDale Heropkie and sister Patricia Lindblad.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Gross; sisters, Delores and Rosemary and her parents Frank and Madeline Heropkie.

 

Visitation will take place Thursday June 30, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m., at St Patrick Catholic Church in Wadsworth, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
