Mrs. Reidel and Family: : Today is Oct 14, 2022 and I just learned of Mr. R’s. passing. I retired from CCU five years ago and moved to Texas so I have
been out of the CCU loop and no one
told me. I I will forever be grateful to him for hiring me as Leader of the Human Resources Dept. I often shared how I cried when he interviewed me in my 2nd interview. He gave me a chance and because of that, my career at CCU flourished. What an amazing man. I will always have fond memories of our years at CCU together.

Bill and I became friends at St. Gilbert school in the early 50's and remained friends throughout our lives. Bill was a wonderful guy who went out of his way to help you in any way he could. I miss him very much and will miss him for the rest of my days. I miss the fun we had as kids like sneaking into the Grayslake Drive In and playing ball and eating pizza. Bill was fun to be around. Just a great guy!

Grandma, Aunt Wendy, Jess, Ken & family..though our time getting to know Grandpa Bill has been short, we feel so blessed for every moment we’ve shared with him. It’s not often enough in today’s world that you meet someone as loving and genuine as Gpa. The love he shared and showed to Gma, Jess and Ken was one to be admired. Rest easy, Grandpa. We’ll take it from here. Rob & Susan Elkins

I considered Bill a friend, we met at the Credit union when I visited often in the 70's and 80's. I delivered bottled water to his home in Zion when I worked for Sparkling Springs Water Co. After Bill's retirement I saw him occasionally at the grocery store in Zion, where I met his wife. I'm sure he will be missed dearly by His Family and friends as he was a wonderful guy and a kind human.

Dear Jean, Leslie, John and Wendy and family:
I am saddened to hear about the passing of Bill. My relationship with him, not only on a professional level through the Credit Union but on a personal level, span over 47 years. He was not only a mentor to me over those years, but a good friend to my family and myself. While I will miss the phone conversations, I will forever treasure the memories. I will miss you my friend.

So sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a truly amazing person. I first met Bill while I was working for the Illinois Credit Union League. He asked me to come do a presentation for his staff. It was one of my first times doing a public presentation and I was terrified. Upon arriving at his office he immediately made me feel welcome and comfortable. After that I was invited back many times to speak at the credit union’s annual meetings, board meetings and chapter events. Bill was a great mentor and role model. He was a strong leader and compassionate person. He will never be forgotten and forever loved. Vicki Ponzo

Dear Jean and Family-
My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
I never had the opportunity to meet with Mr. Reidel, however, our CEO Sean has shared his legacy with us here at CCU.
From what we have learned about him, it seems that Consumers Credit Union would not be today what it is, without Mr. Reidel’s hard work and his love for people.
I am grateful for the impact he created at CCU, and we will remember it for years to come.
Again, my deepest condolences to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Yamille A. Senol

Dear Jean and family, I am so very sorry for your loss of Bill. He was such a wonderful man and a true inspiration to me. He was such a good friend and mentor to me during my years as president of North Shore Gas Credit Union. Bill inspired me to pursue my career in the credit union field through his dedication to helping people. He was always willing to share his knowledge give encouragement whenever needed. I will always treasure the memories of our many lunches together. His stories and laughter will remain in my heart forever. I know you will all miss him greatly. The world has lost a true gentleman but heaven has gained an amazing angel. I look forward to seeing him there someday.
