Obituary of Rosette Yonke
Rosette Suzanne Yonke, of Zion, Illinois passed away June 12, 2022, at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion, IL.
Rosette was born in French Algiers, North Africa May 25, 1924, where she lived until she married William Yonke, a US soldier serving in WWII. Upon Immigrating to the US, she and their daughter Adele lived with her in- laws in Zion until William returned from the war. Rosette was a high school graduate and worked for the Zion Lace Factory and was also a buyer for Hiens Department Store in Waukegan. She was a member of The Lighthouse Community Church. She and William returned to France many times to visit relatives. They also spent many enjoyable years in their condo in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Rosette is survived by her children, Adele (Roger) Anderson, Linda Leith, Jeffrey (Laura) Yonke; grandchildren, Allyssa (Ed) Roe, Hannah (Kurt) Hafferkamp, Chloē Yonke, Brianne Yonke, Amy Loisel, Darrin (Claudia) Leith and Derrek (Shauna) Leith; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband William Yonke; parents, Alfred and Jeanne (nee Bresson); brothers, Alfred and Antoin Bresson.
Visitation will take place Saturday June 18, 2022 at The Lighthouse Community Church, 6700 30th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin from 9:30 A.M. to 10 A.M. with a funeral service to follow. Entombment will take place at Mt Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL. In Lieu of flowers donations to the Lighthouse Community Church would be appreciated.
