Craig was fearless, never afraid to speak truth to power. He always had good intentions in his activism and concern for the less fortunate. I'm glad that I got to know him.

I am so sorry. Craig and I were dancing partners and he got me interested in politics. ♥ prayerfully

I often posted on Craig's blog, "The Broken Heart of Rogers Park." Sometimes Craig would ban me for a few days. It was all fun. He provided a point of view that no one else was gutsy enough to publish and take responsibility for. Fond memories.
Later Craig.

I liked Craig. I became acquainted with him via a blog Craig wrote. We were always running into each other around the neighborhood. May God rest his soul, and give continued blessings to his family.

Worked with Craig on all kinds of Rogers Park projects ... mostly community activism with photography, videography, and the blogs. Later he hired me as a part of his Staff at Gay Chicago Magazine, when I really needed the income to sustain my apartment at Sherwin on the Lake. Enjoyed his unique concept of bicycle food delivery service, way before it became trendy.
Craig participated in Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce events and assisted as our Grill Master on several occasions. He was also elected to a Board position of our then-newly established Leone Beach Park Advisory Council.
Confrontational? ... Yes.
Hard to get along with at times? ... Yes.
But, he was a close friend, with a big heart. He had empathy for those marginalized and always fought vocally for the underdog, and against corruption in the 49th Ward.
