Obituary of Lois Dietmeyer

Lois A. Dietmeyer (nee Anderson) of Waukegan died peacefully May 22, 2022 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion just weeks shy of her 99th birthday. Lois, a Waukegan resident most of her life and the glue of our family, was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, Waukegan Garden Club Douglas Chapter and P.E.O. Chapter AP. She belonged to a women’s league at Bonnie Brook Golf Club and loved to dance at The Swedish Glee Club. For 35 years Lois was a legal secretary, indispensable and held in high regard. Lois was preceded in death by her late husband George, her parents Thure and Florence Anderson, her brothers Donald and Richard. Survivors include her children Sue (Denny) Nightingale of St. Paul, MN, Gary (Nancy) of Carmel, IN and Jim (Karen) of Inverness, IL; grandchildren Matt Kelso (Helen Kim) of CA, Mandy Kelso (Amy Grahn) of MN, Kate (Gunnar) Liden of MN, Michael (Kristin) Dietmeyer of Bartlett, Jennifer (Mike) Wrenn of Hoffman Estates, Christian and Tommy Dietmeyer of IN; and five great grandchildren Kahlil, Sage, Benjamin, Luciano and Johnathan. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 18 at Christ Episcopal Church, 410 Grand Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085. Memorials may be made in her name to Christ Episcopal Church.
