Obituary of Ina C. Jensen

Ina Clare Jensen (Lyons), 89, of Beach Park, passed away on April 8, 2022 in Kenosha, WI surrounded by her family. Ina was born June 18, 1932 in Iron Mountain, MI, the only child of Clarence D. and Agnes M. Lyons. On June 2, 1951, Ina married the love of her life, Milton Jensen in Woodruff, WI, later moving to Milwaukee and then to Illinois. Milt and Ina moved to what is now Beach Park in 1980 where they remained until the time of their passing. Ina was Milt's indispensable partner throughout his career as an airline pilot and when he served as Mayor of Zion and later Beach Park. Ina treasured time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren whether it was in her home, on camping trips or playing a tune on any instrument you put into her hands. Her positive and nurturing spirit will be greatly missed. Ina is survived by her six children, Don (Sue), Rich (Cindy) Phil (Sandy) Julie Gonka (Dennis), Liane Kaiser (Frank) and Connie Gill (Paul); seventeen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Ina is preceded in death by her son Glenn. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Benton-Greenwood Cemetery.
