Obituary of Richard Barrick

Richard Jay Barrick, 67, of Beach Park, IL passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on March 26, 2022 with his wife by his side. Richard was born on February 21, 1955 in Buffalo, NY the son of Kenneth and Evelyn (Wood) Barrick. Richard grew up in Cheektowaga, NY before moving to Illinois where he resided in Grayslake, Waukegan, and then Beach Park, IL. Richard married his loving wife Linda Christensen on May 26, 1973 in Mundelein, IL. After his retirement from Deluxe Video, he enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, target shooting, assembling and repairing guns. He was a member of the National Rifle Association of America. Richard is survived by his wife Linda; children, Jason Barrick, Tammie Roe; grandchildren, Dylan Beilke, Jarrett Beilke, Riley Roe, Samantha Barrick, Jesse Barrick; siblings, Craig Barrick, Trish Deleo; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth, and Evelyn Barrick. Visitation will be on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Epilepsy Foundation.
