Obituary of June Norton

June Ann Norton, 76, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on February 15, 2022 in Libertyville, IL. June was born on June 1, 1945 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Joseph and Eleanor (née Goetz). June grew up, and graduated from Palatine High School. After marrying her husband Gerald Norton on June 17, 1967 they settled in Lake Villa, IL. June 'Granny' loved her family dearly, her home was the daycare for her children, and grandchildren. She was the center of the family and hosted all family events and celebrations. June made the best meatloaf, roast and mashed potatoes. June made sure to watch her two o'clock soap operas or record them if she was going to miss it. She was also an Elvis collector. June is survived by her husband Gerald; children, Monica Norton, Tina Norton, Dennis Norton; thirteen grandchildren, Jesse Shattuck, Brittany Norton, Brandon Norton, Brianna Norton, Zachary Norton, Riley Norton, Hayley Norton, William Jones, Logan Jones, Victoria Norton, Matthew Norton, Dennis Norton, Sienna Norton; two great-grandchildren, Jessica Shattuck, Jordan Shattuck; siblings, Robert(Dolores) Lamping, Joseph (Diane) Lamping, William (Jean) Lamping, Marilyn Lamping, Barbara Lamping, Evelyn Vraniak, Linda (Gary) Miller, Ruth Lamping; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. June was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Norton; parents; siblings, Ray Lamping, Carolyn Miller, Nancy Brackus.
