Obituary of Gregory Hardy

Gregory D. Hardy, 60, of Kenosha, WI, died unexpectedly on January 17, 2022. He was born January 24, 1961 in Chicago, IL. Gregory graduated from East Bank High School in West Virginia. He worked for Fel-Pro in Skokie, IL and Olson Transportation until his passing. Greg loved to make everyone around him laugh. He was quick-witted and had a come-back for everything in just seconds. He loved with everything he had inside him. Greg loved his Chicago Bears and Cubbies. But the real love of his life was his fiancé Lori Taylor and his dogs, Dozer and Dayzee. Greg is survived by his fiance, Lori Taylor; children, Kathy (Daniel) Gonzalez of Chicago, IL, Michelle Hardy of Chicago, IL; step-children, Nicholas Taylor, Brittany Taylor, and Chirstopher Cairo, all of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Fernando Garcia Hardy, Daniel Gonzalez Jr, Liam Santiago Hardy; step-grandchildren, Chloe, Haylee and Kalie Bose; siblings, Diane Dixon, Patti (Wayne) Dolin, and Denny Hardy; and many, many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Kathy and Brenda; brothers, Marvin “Butch”, and Randy; parents, Cecil and Marie Hardy. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A celebration of Life service will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
