Obituary of Gage Hedrick

Gage Kristopher Hedrick 19, of Winthrop Harbor, passed away peacefully with his parents by his side on Friday, December 10th, in Kenosha, WI. Gage was born March 13th, 2002, at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL, to Kristopher and Shannon Hedrick. Gage attended Laremont School in Gages Lake,Il, where he graduated in 2020. Some of his best years were spent there, surrounded by incredible teachers and staff. He is survived by his parents, little sister Ellie, who adored him, Paternal grandma Kathleen Hedrick of Ocala, FL. Maternal grandparents Rich and Bonnie Wilkinson of Winthrop Harbor, who were his second set of parents and his very best friends, maternal grandfather Skip Grinhaug, of Cresco, IA. Aunts and Uncles David and Erin Grinhaug of WI. Chris and Janet Elrod of Winthrop Harbor, Brian Wilkinson of New Mexico, David and Holly Pedrin of North Chicago, Matt and Jenny Grana of New Tazwell, TN. Nikki Podyma of Zion, Godparents Erik and Heather Campbell of Winthrop Harbor, Great Aunt Rosalie Miletich of Winthrop Harbor, and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. In his short life, Gage fought many battles. His strength and will to live was incredible. Gage touched everyone he met, not only with his strength, but with the pure peace that surrounded him. To say Gage was loved, is an understatement. Gage was preceded in death by his Papaw Larry Hedrick of Ocala, FL. Great Aunt Julie Fanning of Ft. Worth, TX. Great Uncle Ed Heathcote of Winthrop Harbor and Great Uncle Mike Miletich of Winthrop Harbor. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5-8pm at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Kwadwo Ntim. Procession to follow at Mt.
