Obituary of Jeffrey Johnson

Dr. Jeffrey G. Johnson, 67, of Libertyville, IL passed away on December 7, 2021 at JourneyCare in Barrington, IL. He was born on November 6, 1954 to Joan (Crawford) Johnson and the late Glen Johnson. He grew up in Waukegan and graduated from Waukegan High School in 1972. He graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 1978. He was a chiropractor in Waukegan and Gurnee for 43 years. He loved what he did and cared very much for his patients. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed golfing with family and friends, reading novels, listening to classic rock music, playing cards, poker, backyard bags, ping pong, and frisbee. Jeff especially enjoyed vacationing in Wisconsin where he would go boating and water skiing. A favorite activity was going out with family for a traditional Friday fish fry. He was a very handy man and would always be fixing or repairing something. Jeff is survived by his wife of 45 years, Earleen (Sunday) Johnson, four sons, Ryan (Jill) Johnson, Brett, Tyler, Evan, and 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Haley, and Emily. He is also survived by his mother, Joan, his sister, Judy (Joe) Richardt, and preceded in death by his father, Glen and two sisters, Jan Johnson and Jill (Johnson) Cornell. A private funeral will be held for immediate family at Congdon Funeral Home in Zion.
