Obituary of Leslie Carol Bridges

Leslie Carol Bridges, 43, of Wadsworth, IL passed away on December 7, 2021 in Waukegan, IL. She was born on April 7, 1978 the daughter of Edward Merle and Carolyn (nee Lewis) Bridges. Leslie graduated from high school, and then received a Bachelor's degree of arts and history at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She was a member of Spirit of Life Church in Zion, IL and worked at JcPenny before becoming a devoted at home aunt to her nieces and nephew. Leslie was the most caring person, she loved her parents, sister, nieces, and nephews. She helped raise Julia and Matt and was a significant part of their lives. She had a comforting nature and would always make sure to say "Our God is an awesome god!" She left a void on earth but heaven has gained an angel. Leslie is survived by her parents, Edward (Carolyn) Bridges; sister, Kirsten Lynn Bridges; nieces, Julia Bridges, Hannah Timmerhoff, Kayla Timmerhoff; nephew, Matthew Timmerhoff. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Arizona Lewis, Orie and Lille Bridges; and brother-in-law Eric Timmerhoff. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL.
