Obituary of David Wayne Davison

David Wayne Davison, 83, of Wadsworth, IL passed away on November 27, 2021 surrounded by his family in Kenosha, WI. He was born on February 22, 1938 in Waukegan, IL the son of Wayne and Pearl (nee Wuolo) Davison. He graduated in 1956 from Waukegan High School. Afterwards he enlisted in the United States Navy. Dave married Margaret Anderson on August 18, 1962 and they were married for fifty-nine years and were blessed with twelve children. Dave worked for U.S. Steel as a machinist for many years. He was president of Lake County Door starting in 1968 and was passionate about a strong work ethic. Dave loved spending time at his cabin in Lac La Belle, MI with his family. Dave had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed sharing that love with his children, grandchildren, and nephews on fishing and hunting trips. Dave was a lifelong member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church. Dave is survived and will be deeply missed by his wife, Margaret; children, Ann (Chuck) Keskey, Linda (Tim) Grangroth, Brian (Elizabeth) Davison, Carol (Brian) Daavettila, Sue Hannus, Julie McGinnis, Mara Davison Jones, Mike (Beth) Davison, Aaron (Karen) Davison, Andy Davison, Christina (Justin) Junttila, and Johanna Davison; fifty-five grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; siblings, Maria (Allan) Torola, Katie (Richard) Pennala, Jeanne (Bob) Pelli, Rebecca Davison, and Dan (Linda) Davison; sister-in-law, Ruth Davison and Mary Davison; and and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Bill Davison and Steve Davison. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, 39372 Carol Lane, Beach Park, IL 60099. A second visitation will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.
