Obituary of Joseph Brian Ianson Jr.
Joseph “Joe” Brian Ianson, Jr., 39, of Waukegan, passed away unexpectedly on October 27, 2021. He was born on February 25, 1982 in Waukegan, IL to Joseph and Donna (Robbins) Ianson. He graduated from Zion Benton Township High School, class of 2000, and went to college at SIU Carbondale. He was the oldest brother to Chad and Ashleigh Ianson. Joe was an avid Chicago Bears, White Sox and Blackhawks fan. He loved being on the ice playing and coaching hockey, shooting darts with his brother, Chad, going to Bears and Hawks games with his sister, Ashleigh, and spending time with his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Donna; brother, Chad (Brianna) Ianson and sister, Ashleigh Ianson; uncles, Steve (Stacey) Ianson, Russel (Laurie) Ianson, Arvin Walters; and Ruth (Jeff) Dykiel, as well as many family members and beloved friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Brian Ianson, Sr.; grandparents, Lyle and Patricia Ianson and John and Elizabeth Robbins; aunt, Susan Walters; and uncle, Ken Ianson.
Visitation will be held at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park, IL at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.
