One of my favorite memory's with Steve was the weekend that we started building the sound room at first baptist church.
His love for our church and the need for the room inspirerd me to help as much as I could. We did a lot laughing and joking around, just made it fun. Another memory of Steve was his Love for his family, I can't think of anything that he wouldn't do for them or anybody else for that matter. He would just jump right in and help anywhere he could and seem to love every minute of it. Steve was a good and faithful man to his family and to our Lord.

Dearest Swift family, I was in search of Steve for some "handy work", and "googled" him today. I was shocked and saddened by the news of his passing. I am so sorry for your loss. Steve was such a wonderful man, and had a testiment like none I've ever heard before. I am sure you know, as do I that if anyone is with our Lord, it is Steve. Please know I am thinking of all of you with a heavy heart. God Bless.

My heart is heavy with the word of Steve's passing. We have known each other since we were little kids here in Bay City. Although Steve and I did not see each very often I always counted on him as a true friend. I remember his Grandparents very well too, such nice people. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and forever. May God bless you and give you strength. Tom

Steve, was nice to have you and the family as my neighbor's. You were always a good man and always willing to help out when someone on the block needed a hand. I myself will miss the little chats we had in passing weather it be a quick hello or a few minutes of our time talking. R.I.P Steve as the lord has a good man on his side now to help watch over your loved ones. You will be deeply missing and always thought about. Miss you bud. Marshall Hooven a friend for the block.

Tammy, Stephen Jr., Carrie, our thoughts and prayers with you during this difficult time of mourning for the loss of your husband and father. We know that he is with Jesus, and that we will see him again in heaven, but it hurts so much now because we miss him. He worked on pretty much every aspect of our house. When we turn on a light switch, open the garage door, take a shower, walk on the floor, wash dishes, hear the sump pump run, really almost anything you can think of, we think of Steve and all the effort he put into our house. His handiwork is everywhere. It's almost you like you can sense his presence here. I want you all to know that you are welcome at our home, if you just want to see what he was doing here all these years. He replaced our failed water heater earlier this year, and left a couple tools here. I returned those tools to him on Saturday afternoon at the Wild Game Dinner just minutes before he collapsed, and that was the last time we spoke. When Steve did work at our home, he did his very best, gave us good advice on how to make things better, went with me to help pick stuff out, and helped haul it back here to the house. Really enjoyed the years that we sang together at First Baptist Church, when he wasn't running sound. We love you and are here to support you not just during these next few days, but for the weeks, months, and years to come. Your friends and brother and sister in Christ, Bruce and Jackie Komarowski
