Obituary of Vincent A Varsek

Vincent A. Varsek, 72, of Beach Park, IL, passed away September 20, 2021 in Glenview, IL. Vincent was born December 26, 1948 to Vincent and Sarah Varsek. Vincent married high school sweetheart Barbara Cartwright on April 12, 1969. After obtaining his Accounting degree from DePaul University, he worked for many years at EKJ & co and will be missed by his co-workers & clients. He loved the Cubs, working in the yard on a sunny day, traveling to new places, and spending time with his adoring grandkids. Vincent is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Chris (Rachel) Varsek; and daughter, Sherri (Dan) Ballard; grandchildren Sydney, Sara, Annabelle, and Rachel; siblings Robert Varsek & Jackie Tolley (Hollis); cousins, Thomas (Tina) Cartwright, Carol (Ken) Uchiek, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Sarah Varsek. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s, Honor Flight for veterans, or any veterans organization would be appreciated.
