Obituary of Paul Houze

Paul Curtis Houze, 78, of Winthrop Harbor, IL formerly of Montezuma IN passed away Sunday September 5, 2021. Born February 5, 1943 in Beechgrove, IN. He was the son of Paul L. Houze and Dorothy (Rice) Houze. Paul retired from the US Navy in 1984 as a MMCS, after serving for 22 years. He also retired from Mason & Hanger Corporation in Newport, IN. He was a beloved family man, who would do anything for anyone. Paul loved to travel, attend gospel concerts with friends, go hiking in the woods. Most of all, he enjoyed serving the Lord. Paul was a member of Meadow Ridge Baptist Church, Zion, IL Surviving are his wife, of 55 years Kay (Naylor) Houze, Winthrop Harbor, IL; his daughter Deanna (Matt) Stroik, Zion, IL; grandson Clinton (Heather) Baker, Sioux City, IA; granddaughter Ally Stroik, Coralville, IA; and great granddaughter Aspen Baker, Sioux City, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Dorothy Houze, and his sister Patricia Henderson. Burial will be held in Arlington, VA at the Arlington National Cemetery. Memorial Service will be held on September 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church located at 3932 US-36 Rockville,IN 47872. As well as October 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Meadow Ridge Baptist Church located at 4088, 4500 IL-173, Zion, IL 60099.
