Marty was an angel to so many people. The true essence of a man sent from heaven. I did his wife's (Sues) hair for many years, and I had mention that I was looking for someone to play Santa to my children and my familys children on Christmas eve, Sue mention that her husband would be happy to do it. Well the rest is history for over 5 years or more his wife would drop him off at the end of my street and he would walk up to my house so no-one would see him get out of a car. I would always sit on his lap 1st so the children wouldn't be afraid. Well that in it self started a story you wouldn't believe. He would come in to the restaurant where my husband and I would go. He would always say hi to us and I would say hi but never carry a conversation with him because I didn't know him.( because I had never seen Sues husband only in his Santa Claus suit. So the going story with the men he sat with when I came in to the restaurant was that that women sits on my lap every year and doesn't have the slights Idea who I am. I later got to meet him after he stopped playing Santa for my children and his daughter was getting married. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting this man was very blessed. He will live on in my memory and my children's. A story that is told many times. Thank you Marty for the memories. Rest In Peace my dear angel.

When I was young, my family lived in Beach Park across the street from the Stanonik family. Mr. Stanonik once rescued me when I accidentally "sewed" my finger with the sewing machine.
He was soft spoken and kind. So very sorry for your loss. May God bless you now and always.

Uncle Marty was a great man! He always had something offer no matter the task at hand. His ability to find solutions to problems was simply off the charts! I will never forget how he would ask me questions, already having the correct answer in his mind, but confirming I also did by my response to him. He was a "GREAT" Uncle and I learned some very valuable traits and life lessons from him. May your journey be epic Uncle Mart! We will miss you!......"Don't forget to have some dessert along the way!" Jake!

TO THE FAMILY OF MARTY~
SO SADDENED TO HEAR OF YOU'RE DAD'S PASSING. I LAST TALKED TO HIM ON JULY 1ST AT A "MINI CLASS REUNION" IN ZION. IT'S ALWAYS SAD WHEN A HIGH SCHOOL CLASS MATE PASSES AWAY. I'VE KNOW YOU'RE DAD SINCE 1954 AS WELL AS YOU'RE MOM, SUE.
ALWAYS REMEMBER THE GREAT TIMES YOU HAD WITH YOU'RE MOM & DAD AND CHERISH THEM THE REST OF YOU'RE LIVES.
RIP DEAR CLASSMATE~
YOU'RE CLASSMATE........
