Obituary of Sherry Kennedy

Sherry K. Kennedy, 63, passed away on August 28, 2021 at Vista Hospital in Waukegan, IL. Sherry was born on August 11, 1958 in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Gerald Keith and Grace (nee Townsend) Kennedy. Sherry grew up in Winthrop Harbor, IL where she then worked and retired from Lake County Vision care in Zion, IL. Sherry was loved by family and many friends she met through the years. She is survived by her two sisters, Geraldine and Mary Jane; sister- in-law, Penny; nieces and nephews; Angela, Heather, Derreck, Lauren, Kristina; great nieces and nephews; Jordan, Justin, Brianna, Miranda, Christopher, Alexis, Kayden, Caleb, Makenzie, Kayla, Shaynna, and Matthew; and two nephews she loved dearly as her own, Josh and Jared. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Terry and Steven; great nephew, Jake; and niece, Hannah. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home located at 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
