Obituary of Ronald J. Kassin

Ronald J. Kassin, 81, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died August 13, 2021 at Vista Medical Center East. Ron was born September 12, 1939 in Iron Mountain, MI to Joseph and Caroline Kassin. He graduated from Waukegan Township High School with the class of 1958. Ron was a talented printer for over 45 years. He began his career with Nosco and after 17 years went on to work for and retire from Lake County Press. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Kassin; son, Brian (Dawn) Kassin; grandsons, Brandon (Ashely) Kassin, and Michael (Charlet) Kassin; two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Jason Kassin; and sisters, Kathy (Bill) Crowley, and Nancy (Bill) Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Phyllis Supa; son, David; and a grandson, Matthew. A memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.
