Parents never really leave us. They merely move on before us to prepare a place for us to be shared into eternity. With much love and respect.

Back in the early 60's I met Cecil as a bowling team mate at Bertrand Lanes in Waukegan, Il. We bowled for Nelson Masonry. Red Nelson the owner and my dad were bricklayers and good friends. Cecil worked for Red as an apprentice where he learned how to lay brick. Cecil and I both like cars. I had a 1956 Chevy and Cecil had a 1953 Ford pickup. We traded even up and it wasn't long after that my uncle talked me in to selling him the truck which I should have never done. I am glad I met and became friends with Cecil. He was really a nice guy back when he was living in a trailer park. I went off to Vietnam and never saw Cecil again. I saw Red Nelson at my dads funeral 20 years ago and he told me the incredible story of Cecil's success. A true American success story to a really nice guy. God Bless Cecil and his family.

Us grandkids will miss hanging out with our Papa. We did a lot of hunting, fishing, four wheeling, hiking, gator tours on his property and we will miss sitting down and having a drink listening to his amazing stories.
