Obituary of Joann Rae Uchiek

Joann Rae Uchiek of Zion, Illinois passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 in Zion, Illinois. Joann was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Donald and Nancy Mattson. She graduated from Waukegan High School in 1982. Joann married Ted Uchiek May 24, 1998 at Forrestal Chapel in Great Lakes, Illinois. She was a member of Immanuel Church in Gurnee, Illinois. Joann was a runner football fan and very involved in her children’s schools. She loved to cross-stitch, cook and she loved being a mother. Joann is survived by her husband, Ted; children, Jenna, Josiah and Jarek Uchiek; father, Donald Mattson; brother, Paul Mattson. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Mattson; brother, Michael Mattson. Services are private for the family.
