Obituary of Tom Hanson

T.C “Tommy” Hanson 76, passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1945 the son of Connie V. (Judy Trixie Sanderson) Hanson. He grew up in Beach Park with his brother Billy. Tommy graduated from Zion Benton High School . Where he then preceded to work for Johns Manville for thirty-seven years. Tommy enjoyed watching NASCAR, riding on his Harley Davidson with his wife and friends. He was a H.O.G member. If he wasn’t with his friends he was meting new people and creating new friendships with those he met. He enjoyed laughing and having a good time while having a cold Miller Lite and made sure to say “One more!” Tommy was a member of Masonic Lodge # 78 of Waukegan, and a member of Zion Moose. He is survived by his wife Pat of fifty-one years, brother; Billy (Betty) Hanson; nephew Billy Jr. (Melonie); aunt, great nieces, nephews, close cousin, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers and donations can be made to the Masonic Lodge in Waukegan, IL or a charity of your choice. A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home located at 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, Illinois 60099. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.
