Obituary of Nancy Tatera

Nancy J. Tatera 71, of Zion, IL, and previously of Tennessee and Chicago; passed away on June 9, 2021 at her home. She was born on July 26, 1949 in Beloit, WI the daughter of Pugh and Dorothy (Nee Duenow) Williams. Nancy graduated Murray F. Tuley high School in 1968. She then married her loving husband Tom Tatera on June 24, 1968 in Chicago. Shortly after she attended College of Lake County and then preceded to work for Baxter Sr. Payroll Accounting for 18 years and Grainger Web support as a customer service representative. She is survived by her children Tony (Candie) Tatera, Janice (Dustin) Gehrig, granddaughter; Sarah (Taylor) Crow great-grandson; Logan Crow, siblings; John Williams, Terry Desarden, sister-in-law Cathie Williams, nieces, and nephews; Jaclyn (Jarod) Petz, Matthew Williams, Fran Dotson, Kathy Dotson, Patsy Hilliker, Joey Desarden, Sara Desarden, close friends; Lucy Trice, Mrugendra & Cynthia Gandhi, life long friends; Tony and Sandy Turano. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Tom Tatera; parents, Pugh & Dorothy Williams; sister, Janice Williams; brother, Mark Williams. Visitation will be held on Monday June 14, 2021 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home located at 3012 Sheridan Rd Zion, IL 60099. Interment will be private. Memorial donations can be made out directly to the family.
