James McKinley Stickles of Zion, IL passed away June 4, 2021 in Highland Park, IL. James was born August 23, 1961 in Winfield, Alabama. James previously resided in Beach Park, IL. James graduated from Waukegan West High School in 1979. He married Connie Brown June 17 in Waukegan, IL. He was a member of The Point Church in Winthrop Harbor, IL. James worked for Commonwealth Edition Company and USA Taxi. James was loved and will be missed greatly by family and friends. James is survived by his wife, Connie S. Stickles; children, Brandon Brown, Ashley Martin and Jami Stickles; grandchildren, Jason Martin, Atreyu Brown and Chloe Martin; Parents, Linda and James Stickles; other relatives, Roxanna Swindle, Pat Varner, Toni Spiller-Dady, Bryce Miller, Amanda Miller and Carolyn Brown. He is preceded in death by Tammy Miller, Jewel Dean Spiller, Virgil McKinley Spiller and Howard Kyle Brown. Memorial service will be held on Thursday June 17, 2021 at The Point Church in Winthrop Harbor, IL at 5 p.m. with visitation from 4-5 p.m.
