Obituary of Lila Smoger

Lila M. Smoger, 88, of Kenosha, died on Sunday, August 27, 2006, at Woodstock Nursing Home in Kenosha. Lila was born August Septemberv12, 1917, in Kennan, WI, and came to this area in1937 from Phillips, WI. She was a past member of the Russell Evangelical Free Church in Russell, IL and was a daycare employee and volunteer for First Assembly of God Church, Kenosha. Lila was also a member of A.A.R.P., Zion and the Friendly Center at St.Mary's Lutheran Church, Kenosha. Survivors include four children, Harold C. (Nancy) Smoger of Russell, IL, Edna (Carrol) Sandmire of St. Francis, WI, Kathleen (Dennis) Keitel of Kenohsa, WI, and David Smoger, also of Kenosha, WI. Also surviving are grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Smoger in 1983; father and mother, Schyler and Media Morgan and three brothers. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery, Newport Township, IL Friends may greet the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
