Obituary of Carole Butler

Carole Butler passed away Wednesday April 14, 2021. She was born Carole Jane Elliott on April 10th 1939 in Antigo, WI. Carole lived in Hortonville, WI with her husband David Frye and had two sons, Eric and Jeffrey. After David’s passing in 1971, she moved to Winthrop Harbor, IL and married Jim Varner. She was manager of the VFW Post 7448 for many years which allowed her to do her favorite thing, “help people”. After grieving the loss of Jim in 1994, she resumed her life in the Fox Valley and lived there from 2000 – 2010 married to Howard Butler then came back to Winthrop Harbor to be near her beloved grandchildren Rena, Lucas and Logan Frye. Her Memorial Service will be held at the VFW Post 7448, 1112 Sheridan Rd., Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096 on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. All are welcome.
