Obituary of Robert Joseph Zack Sr.

Robert Joseph Zack, Sr., 64, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his home. Robert was born December 20, 1956 in Elgin, IL to Edward and Betty Zack. He was a previous resident of Cary, IL and worked for Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center for 10 years. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy as Fire Control Technician Petty Officer 3rd Class. He enlisted in June of 1976, and reenlisted in 1982. He was a beloved father, grandfather and life partner; he loved fishing, cooking and Ford Mustangs. Robert is survived by his children, Robert (Danielle) Foehring and Thomas Zack; grandchildren, Leonie, Drake and Bentley; brother, Larry (Judy) Zack; sisters, Diane (Jeff) Moritz and Nancy Lemke; life partner of 18 years, Debbie Grove; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services for Robert will be private for the family.
