Beverrly was a wonderful lady. I spent many hours at the Lilac Historical Society searching for family memories. She was so precious and elegant everytime I went there. I will never forget her. I have her pcture in the front of my family books as being the most helpful person I met my travels from Kenosha, Wisconsin to Illinois. We were so blessed to have Beverly.
Love and prayers for her and her family. Family can text me at 262 3081769

Who could ever replace Beverly?
Beverly Millard was my friend. It didn’t matter when we last spoke, she greeted me with enthusiasm, she always made me smile and then feel sorry for myself because I had waited so long to initiate another conversation. If you were fortunate to have Beverly’s attention with historic research at the John Raymond Library in Bowen Park she would work tirelessly ferreting out library treasures for your review. I imagine that there was little she couldn’t answer about Waukegan history or couldn’t locate in the library collections. She eagerly engaged with visitors, delighted in the company of fellow volunteers and after 30-plus library volunteer years, became herself a treasured resource.
Beverly, we will miss you. My heart hurts for your family and for your many friends who like me mourn at your passing.

Bev lived on the street behind me in Beach Park. I went to school with her son David. I'm sure Bev and my mom were room mothers together planning our school parties. I enjoyed running into her at local stores or craft shows where she had a booth set up. Enjoyed talking to hear and catching up with each other. She will be missed by all Paulette (Grogan) Pilman

So sorry for your loss. I guess I've known Bev all my life as I'm not quite 4 years old in this photo below with Bev in the middle. Bev was friends with my mom so throughout the years Bev visited for coffee or we went over until my mom moved in 1989. I recall Bev used to polish rocks and would let us kids pick some out so she could chat with my mom. We also went to Beach Bible church and saw she and Art there often as kids. The church had put out cookbooks and Bev was able to get a couple copies for me to buy, it was nice seeing all the recipes that ladies I knew had put in the book. My mom visited Bev every time she made the trip up from MO and Bev even made it down to MO for my mom 80th b-day. Lots of good memories of Bev...

My condolences, at Beverly’s passing. I knew her over the years from my visits to the Historical Society’s library. She was always so helpful while I was there researching my mom’s Serdar family. I’ll miss her.

I'm sorry for your loss. Beverly was a fellow member of the Wkgn Historical Society; that's where I met her. She told me about what Bowen Camp had been like, when I asked about a cottage which was behind Goodfellow Hall. We had a common interest in local history.
