Obituary of Norma J. Tennyson

Norma J. Tennyson, 89, of Beach Park, IL. went home to be with the Lord, January 6th, 2021. She was born January 3rd, 1932, in Chicago, IL. She was a graduate of Waukegan High School and attended Wheaton College. She married Otto Tennyson in 1950. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Norma attended Lakeview Church for the past 22 years. Previously, she was an active member at Waukegan Bible Church, where she served the Lord in numerous capacities including singing in the choir, ladies’ trio, hospitality, and teaching Sunday school for 50 years. She is survived by her daughters Cindi (Kent) Isaacson, Debi (Ron) Shaffer; five grandchildren: Danielle Hedberg, Drew (Kate) Isaacson, Kris (Colleen) Shaffer, Jonathan (Misty) Shaffer and David (Jamie) Shaffer; eight great-grandchildren: Michael Gilland, Brooklynn Hedberg, Ciaran, Finn, Lachlan, Teague, Keane and Wynne Shaffer; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Otto Tennyson; parents, Chris and Marie Hansen; siblings, Gilbert (Maryanne) Hansen, Shirley (Bill) Burnell, and Carol (Jim) Smoke. A private funeral and burial will be held with Pastor Les Martin officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Scripture Memory Mountain Mission, P.O. Box 129, Emmelena, KY.
