Don was quiet, but very friendly, handsome and must have had a great sense of humor. He never corrected Faith, who kept calling him Bill. What a sweethert.
He and Kathy had a beautiful 60 years and those memories will be treasured by Kathy and her family.

My deepest sympathy to Kathy, Karuna, and family. I thought of you all last week...and today, read of Donald's passing. Marva vibes. May you be comforted by your happy memories, and at peace, knowing that the love you shared lives on in your hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
Fondly,

What a beautiful video tribute to Don. From the first time I met him and his lovely wife at that FLRP Fall dinner so many years ago, they made me feel special. As soon as their daughter introduced me to them a sense of acceptance and warmth flowed over me in their presence. Every time time Don saw me he would flash a smile which was impossible not to return. We always ended up laughing together. To Kathy and his children, his friends and the rest of the family—I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers of peace and comfort. He truly was a blessing to me.

My dad was a quiet and loving man from whom I learned many things. Beyond the expected tying of shoes and riding a bike, he taught respect and appreciation of Native American culture, love of nature in all forms, and most importantly, unconditional kindness. He taught these things not through words but by example. He led a long, happy and full life and will be missed.
We will never be able to adequately thank my mother for her tireless care of him over the last many years. Thanks to her, he was able to die at home, happy, pain free and surrounded by love. Who could ask for more?
