Obituary of Patricia Ann Steinkopf

Patricia Ann Steinkopf, 78, of Zion, IL passed away Monday, November 16, 2020. Patricia was born October 16, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Barbara Weggs. She was a longtime resident of Palatine before moving to Lake County. Patricia devoted her life to the care of others working as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chicago for over 45 years. She began her career in the Emergency Room and later worked her way up to House Manager; caring for others was her life. Patricia is survived by her sons, Walter (Chrisa) Rodgers and Daniel Rodgers; grandchildren, Walter, Bobby, Billy, Jessica and George; 6 great-grandchildren; and sister, Sandy Steinkopf. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William Steinkopf and Walter Rodgers; daughter, Sheila Steinkopf; and parents, Arthur and Barbara Weggs. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Funeral Service will begin at 6:30.
