I got to know Matt as a fellow usher at
Genessee Theatre the past few years, not
knowing for quite awhile he was the son of
our longtime usher Jeannie Booth! Matt &
I also talked alot about teaching, which I had done
in the past too, sports and politics while working
many shows! He was a hard working usher, dedicated teacher, & had a fun sense of humour.
Deep condolences to Jeannie & the family on this
terrible untimely loss, we'll keep you in our prayers.

Heavy news, and difficult to accept.
So many great memories... from getting into trouble for talking and laughing in Mrs Royce’s first grade class... to pick-up basketball at the warehouse... to crooning like Sinatra, flowing to QTip and Beastie Boys, and singing ‘more than a feeling’ with DStrong and MT at ISU. We had a lot of fun. And... I regret taking time for granted.
Sending nothing but love and peace to Mr. & Mrs. Booth and the rest of the family.
Matt, rest well.

I'm very saddened to hear of Matt's passing. Some of my best memories of high school were playing golf with Matt on the golf team. I can still remember the time that Mike Schuman and I were walking off the 8th green at Shiloh and we saw Matt jump in the air on the 9th tee box ahead of us yelling, "over the sand trap". It was a fine shot, but we'll remember all the laughing we did around the course the most. Condolences to Matt's family, especially his Dad and Mom, who were always very welcoming to us as well.

Unreal and gone too soon. I'll always remember our annual trips to espn zone in Chicago for the bears/packers games back when Favre had his way with the bears year after year. When I first met you more than 20 years ago, I thought we were two totally different people. If you weren't in a cubs or packers jersey, you were wearing a collared polo shirt, while I was wearing dickies and Cortez lol. Talking with you and getting your perspective on things really helped me in my life. The more we hung out the more I got to see how big your heart really was.I'll always be thankful for you and your family. My heart hurts for your family and sad that there's no more hanging out, but I'll always smile thinking back and knowing your reunited with your best friend Mark. I'll never forget you Boothie, Getty up!
