PRESENT WITH THE LORD...
Long-time friend Barbara Jauman Wertman, friend from our youth, is now with the Lord she loved and served.
Barb came into the high school youth group at the Elmwood Park Bible Church in the late 1950s when her family moved to the community. She had attended a Sunday School in the city and as a teen she was determined to find fellowship and learn more about her Savior in another church after the move. It was at Elmwood that Barb dedicated her life to the Lord and went on to train for service at Moody Bible Institute. During those years she met and married George and Ken and I hosted their wedding reception. Together for the next 30+ years, they ministered in several, rural churches with George as pastor while raising 3 wonderful children. When George's health failed, Barb cared for him for several years until his death. Now Barb too is with the Lord she loved and served. Only one life will soon be past (for all of us) ... only what's done for Christ will last.
