I am so sorry to hear of Ruby’s passing. I grew up eating in Rooks restaurant. Ruby was our favorite waitress and we would often wait just to be seated at her table. Even as a child, I distinctly remember she was always so happy and bubbly. As I would see her later as an adult, she didn’t remember me but would smile at me as I had flashbacks of wonderful childhood memories of her joy and kindness. My prayers are with her family. She left quite a legacy.

I send my condolences and love to Ruby's family members. Ruby was a wonderful sister-in-law to me (Esther), and a friend who had unconditional love for me and my husband, James, and for our two children, Carolyn and Tim. Ruby is pictured here with her two siblings, Ola and James at Ola's home. Millard and Ruby often traveled long trips to visit our homes as they had done when this picture was made. The other pictures show her wonderful hospitality to us visiting in her home just a few years ago. Ruby's faith in God inspired me, and I look forward to meeting her in heaven!
