Obituary of Violet Thomet

Violet Thomet, 96, of Waukegan, died on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at home. Violet was born in Waukegan and was a member of St. Anastasia Church where she was also a member of the Women's Club. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's Club of Lake County. Violet was from a pioneer Waukegan family who's decendants came to Lake County from Ireland in 1840. She had a fondness for dogs, and loved flowers and birds. Survivors includ many cousins, relatives and friends, and a special friend and caretaker, Vonia Dzhambagour. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Thomet in 1985; father and mother Daniel and Francis Gallagher; and a sister Evelyn Gallagher. Funeral Services will be private for the family.
