Obituary of Ruby Jones

Ruby Lee Jones, 81, of Waukegan, died on Friday, July 14, 2006 at Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. She was born June 5, 1925 in Tremont, Mississippi and came to this area in 1951. She was a member of Waukegan Church of Christ and she enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Survivors include her children Dwayne (Tammy) Jones of Beach Park, E. Ann (Otis) Turman of Phoenix, Arizona, Eddie Jones of Waukegan, Bobby (Kim) Jones of Park City, Nancy (Charles) Vance of Wilmot, Wisconsin and Jerry (Michele) Jones of Waukegan; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Luther O. Jones; two sons Charles Jones and Danny Jones; one grand-daughter Amanda Jones; and her parents Delmus and Leta Cantrell. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2006, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park.
