Jessie has been an “old” friend since we were young together at Knox Church. She was always loving, kind, helpful, wise in Christian ways, gentle and caring. I never saw her lose her temper. We sang in trios and choirs together, went on youth outings together; both at MBI at the same time; we even each had a son born on Oct. 31, 1974!
We kept in touch for years. Jessie was the only one of my “old” friends who was able to come to my wedding. But Jessie didn’t do e-mail, or social media and our communication dwindled to birthday cards. Didn’t get one this year. Sorry I didn’t get to say good-bye. Looking forward to seeing you again and thanking God for you! Faithful, loyal friend!
