Obituary of Kathy L. Hughes

Kathy L. Hughes, 60, of Zion, IL passed away at home on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Kathy was born February 22, 1960 in Chicago, IL to Jack and Ernella Leach. She attended Von Steuben High School in Chicago. On November 27, 1992, she married Nick Hughes. Kathy was employed by the Cancer Treatment Center of Illinois Hospital in Zion. Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Nick; step-son, Michael Hughes; granddaughter, Mackenzie Hughes; mother, Ernella Leach; siblings, Danny (Holly) Leach and Steve (Cheryl) Leach; nieces, Erica Hughes and Brittany Taylor; special friend, Tarita Taylor; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Leach. Kathy was a kitty cat lover and mother; donations can be made in her memory to an animal shelter of your choice. Services will be private for the family.
