To Family and Friends of Bob Will: While traveling on business in China this week I was informed of the loss of a great man whom I considered a friend. I will always cherish memories fondly of Bob, the charm, his polite ways, and his tenacious love of the law. Rena, Bart, Rhonda and Robin, My heart goes out to all of you for the loss of your dad. I know firsthand how much your dad loved each of you. All that babysitting I did I thought of you as family and then living with you the summer Robin was born I was treated like family by your mom and dad. Even though the years have past I have always held a special place for all of your family in my heart. Bob was just a great guy. I officed next to him for many years at 33 North County Street, Waukegan and enjoyed talking with him on numerous occasions. I referred all my clients with serious criminal problems to him because he was the best there was. The Lake County legal community has lost one of its giants.

My sympathy and kind wishes to all of Bob's family. Bob was a good friend and a very worthy opponent at one time. I'll never forget getting assigned the prosecution of William Ziegler & Sons by the newly elected States Attorney Fred Foreman. It was a high profile case that had been instituted by Dennis Ryan. Due to the change from a Democrat to Republican States Attorney it was a high profile case as Bill Ziegler was an active Republican. I think that the trial lasted about a week and a half and Bob did a great job for the defense. All of us connected with the trial were waiting for the verdict at the Tebala Corn Boil at Ki's tap and Fred and I later went to Welch's to wait. The jury finally came back late that night and I won the case but I will never forget the experience of trying a case against such a talented and entertaining lawyer. Bob was a great man.

I've known and admired Bob since at least 1970. He was a great lawyer, and a fine opponent. I always enjoyed seeing Bob at the courthouse or at Wrigley Field when the Dodgers came to town. I am stunned by his passing. I really don't have the words to express my shock and sadness. My sympathy to the family. I'll miss his good humor. Mike Cummins
