I wish that I had another day with him. I loved to laugh with him. He always had a way of making me feel that everything would be ok. I'll miss hearing his stories and the way that he was always able to make sense of everything that seemed to make no sense at all. I am so lucky to have had him for the 27 years that I did. I'm comforted by knowing that I had the best father that anyone could ever ask for.
Jessica, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I saw it in the newspaper, I would have called, but the number I have for you doesn't work. I wanted you to know that I was thinking about you and praying for you and your family.
I am in shock and deeply saddened by this news. Most of my memories of Marvin are from childhood when I'd go around to see my best friend Stephanie. He used to set off fireworks for us in the summer. I especially remember the snake ones. I thought he was cool for doing that for us. I also remember how he and Judy would sit up at night chatting at the kitchen table and always seemed like the perfect couple. He was always so happy and smiling when he was home around his family.
