Obituary of Paul E. Gill

Paul E. Gill, 77, of Winthrop Harbor, IL passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 after a long illness. Paul was born in Stanford, WV on May 9, 1942, the youngest of 16 children, to the late Fletcher and Julia Gill of Whipple WV. He was married to Janet Williams Gill from 1961-1991 and together they shared two daughters. He later resided with Beverly A. Crawford until his passing. Paul retired from OMC Johnson Motors in 2005. He was a Green Bay Packer fan and an avid outdoors man; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with old things. Paul is survived by his daughters, Jeanette Wickersheim of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Tammy (Larry) Olsen of Round Lake Park, IL; grandchildren, Kyle Mack, Adam Gill, Brittani Ross, Amanda Olsen, Kaysey Olsen and Brianna Wickersheim; great-grandson, Noah Lawerence Davis; sister, Elaine Kopec of Beckley, WV; and nephew, Roger (Joanne) Gill of Beckley, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents and 14 siblings. A gathering for family, friends and coworkers will be held at a later date.
