I was saddened when I heard of John's passing. I met John and Betty through the Senior Program at the Zion Park District. John was such a sweet and wonderful person and he was a pleasure to play cards with. He was an incredibly intelligent man and he truly loved his wife, Betty. I admired their relationship and have considered them my personal hero's. I want to grow up and be just like them. My sincere condolences to his family, especially to his wife, my friend, Betty. Know that I am thinking of you both, often.

My condolences to the Szwedo family. He was a good man.... I met John many many years ago when we worked at then called "Midland"... therefore.... back in the old days! When we ran into one another, he was always happy and smiling. I am positive his family and close friends will surely miss him as he was so pleasant a human being. Rest in peace, John.
